About Our Soap Nuts

Not All Soap Nuts Are Created Equal.

Soap nuts (also called soap berries) are a fruit closely related to the lychee. The trees produce saponin in the berries – a natural soap – as a deterrent to insects. Our consumers receive them de-seeded and dried. While different species of soap nuts can be found worldwide, we carry only the Sapindus mukorossi variety, which are the largest of the soap nuts and have the highest saponin content.

Soap nuts can also vary from region to region, much like grapes in vineyards. We have an arrangement for importing from a particular region of the Himalayas in Nepal where we feel the quality is best.

Our soap nuts grow wild in the Himalayas and are not cultivated in any way. They love poor unfertilized soil and don’t require insecticides or chemicals. They are gathered once a year at harvest and are de-seeded and dried in an indoor facility.

We inspect, hand sort and package in the USA. We carry only de-seeded fresh soap nuts, never older than one year. We have proper storage facilities, and offer competitive wholesale pricing and services for all your reselling needs.

We guarantee ours with a money-back promise and ultimate quality at a fair price.

We are proud to announce that we are now a division of Eco Nuts® Inc.. – America’s most trusted soap nuts retail brand. What this means for our customers is superb quality at a super low price. We have combined our buying power to save on carbon emissions and cost.  Please note that these are generic soap nuts that can be used 4-6 times. While these are high quality soap nuts, they are not identical to Eco Nuts quality, nor are they to be referred to as Eco Nuts.
